Sonia Gwaneza '12 Presents Senior Project on Rwandan Orphans    
After nearly a year of research and work that included traveling to orphanages in Rwanda to gather primary source interviews, photos and video footage, Sonia Gwaneza '12 presented her elective senior project to the Stoneleigh-Burnham School community on Monday, May 21st.

Spanish II Class Skypes with State Department Official in Mexico    
On Tuesday, May 1st, the Spanish II class taught by Hank Mixsell had the distinct honor of video-conferencing through Skype with Patty DePalma, a U.S. State Department official stationed in Monterrey, México.
SBS Musicians & Vocalists Perform at All Souls Church

Three Middle School Students Receive Prizes in Massachusetts Science Poetry Contest    
Three eighth grade students have received awards in the 24th Annual Massachusetts Science Poetry Contest. The contest is run through Boston College's Lynch School of Education and draws entries from students all over the state in grades kindergarten through 8th grade.
10th Grader Jane Logan Makes Finals in World Debate & Public Speaking Championship    
Jane Logan '14 has just returned from Brisbane, Australia where she was one of thirteen students representing the United States in the five-day World Individual Debate & Public Speaking Championship.
Winter Term Honor Roll Announced

Professional Horseman's Association Award    
Francesca Eremeeva '15 won first place in the Modified Junior Equitation Medal. The award is one of several given by the New England Professional Horseman's Association to riders who accumulate the most points in horseshow competitions during the 2011 season in the Western New England Area.

Rachel Simmons, bestselling author and internationally acclaimed speaker and girl expert, will visited Stoneleigh-Burnham School on Thursday, April 5th at 7 p.m. to deliver a talk titled “Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls.”
Students Travel to Costa Rica for Service and Fun during Spring Break    
A group of twelve students and two teachers traveled to Samara, Costa Rica during Spring Break to work with the non-profit organization CREAR, practice their Spanish language skills, and explore all that Costa Rica has to offer.
