Student Actresses to Take the Stage in "Happy End"    
In Emerson Hall at 7 p.m. on both Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25 and 2 p.m on Sunday, February 26, Stoneleigh-Burnham will present "Happy End," a musical comedy by Bertolt Brecht and Elisabeth Hauptmann with music by Kurt Weill.
SBS Decreases Energy Use by 13.6% in the Green Cup Energy Challenge    
Over a four week period during the annual Green Schools Alliance Green Cup Energy Challenge, Stoneleigh-Burnham decreased energy use by 13.6% to earn second place in the Northeast Boarding Schools category.
Varsity Basketball Wins RVAL Tournament Championship    
Stoneleigh-Burnham has captured the 2012 River Valley Athletic League Tournament Championship with their two victories on Saturday over the Academy at Charlemont 35-4 in the semi-finals and Dublin School 34-17 in the championship. 
10th Grader Selected to Represent the US at the World Individual Debating & Public Speaking Championship    
Jane Logan, a 10th grade student from Branford, CT is one of 12 students chosen to represent the United States at the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship being held this March in Brisbane, Australia.

Ramses Lonlack '08 Scores 1000th Point for University of Memphis Women's Basketball    
Ramses Lonlack (Bertoua, Cameroon) '08 has become just the sixth woman in the University of Memphis women’s basketball history to score 1000 points in addition to having over 500 rebounds and 250 steals.
SBS Teachers to Represent US in Thai Folk Festival    
Ann Sorvino, chair of the Performing Arts Department, and Greg Snedeker, instrumental music director, and members of their ensembles, the Ann Sorvino Dance Project and the Pioneer Consort, have been invited to Surin, Thailand from January 15 to 28 to represent the US in the Surin International Folkloric Festival.
Local Artist Valerie Bassett to Exhibit in Geissler Gallery    
Valerie Bassett's exhibit “Beauty, Proportion and Light in Oil Painting” includes thirty oil paintings of varying subject matter including still life, landscape and portraits. The exhibit will run from January 13 to February 24, 2012.
8th Annual Holiday Invitational Basketball Tournament

Winter Solstice Concert will celebrate the season!    
Stoneleigh-Burnham School will present its annual Winter Solstice Concert Thursday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the school’s Emerson Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

NASA Astronaut Cady Coleman to Visit SBS    
NASA astronaut Catherine “Cady” Coleman will visit Stoneleigh-Burnham School on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to speak about her work as a chemist and NASA astronaut and her passion for playing the flute.
Acclaimed singer/songwriter Dar Williams to visit    
Dar Williams is set to perform in Northampton at the Iron Horse Music Hall on Friday, December 2nd, but before she takes the stage that night she’ll visit our School for a private performance and a special workshop with our student vocalists and musicians.
Veterans Education Project Visits IB English Classes    
In conjunction with the International Baccalaureate (IB) English classes' study of Tim O'Brien's fictional Vietnam memoir, The Things They Carried, Cherie Rankin from the Veterans Education Project visited SBS to share her experience as a Red Cross volunteer during the Vietnam War.
IB History Explores WWII through the Experiences of Two Who Lived Through It    
The International Baccalaureate History classes have had "visits" from two guests who experienced WWII in very different ways. Both grandfathers of students in the class, Dr. Karlfried Froehlich visited in person, while Mr. Maurice Lasoen visted via Skype from South Africa.
Professor to Address Health Impacts Associated with Everyday Products    
As part of the Miriam Emerson Peters Speaker Series, Professor Gail Carlson of Colby College will visit Stoneleigh-Burnham School on Thursday, November 10th to address the environmental and human health impacts of the production, use and disposal of everyday products from cosmetics and cookware to computers and carpets.
