Theater, music, dance and the visual arts are an essential part of school life through which girls learn and grow. The arts are an integral part of the curriculum at Stoneleigh-Burnham, not just an extra added on.
Stoneleigh-Burnham School's fine and performing arts curriculum fosters individual creativity and a critical awareness of one's cultural identity. Students participate in a rich and extensive arts curriculum, from beginning through advanced courses in Instrumental Performance, Studio Art, Vocal Music, Music Composition, Dance and Theater, and may choose to focus on an independent study project while preparing a college portfolio. Juniors and seniors who elect to enroll in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program will choose from IB courses in dance, visual art and music.
Students take a minimum of 2 arts requirements per year.
