The Stoneleigh-Burnham School Oral History Project

Vision & Scope of SBS Oral Histories
In order to promote the common vision of Stoneleigh-Burnham School, the product of five founding schools, all committed to educating young women and preparing them for college; the Oral History Project seeks to record the individual stories of the alumnae of Stoneleigh-Burnham School; to preserve these diverse stories for the archives, and to keep them as a reference and guide for the promotion of the School in years to come. The oral history interviews are an important means to fill the inevitable gaps in other forms of documentation of Stoneleigh-Burnham School. Because each oral history represents a unique and living history, the views expressed by each alumna in her interview do not necessarily represent the views of Stoneleigh-Burnham School.

Gypsy da Silva '59B
Gypsy da Silva '59B talks about her experience as a student at the Mary A. Burnham School in the 1950s. This interview is part of the Stoneleigh-Burnham School Oral History Project, Stoneleigh-Burnham School - Greenfield, MA.
