Few independent schools or even colleges can match the size and quality of Stoneleigh-Burnham's riding facilities. Stabling for 57 horses is available in two separate barns. Each barn has its own tack room and tack cleaning room. Laundry facilities and lockers are also available for student use. The indoor riding arena complex features a 100 x 200 indoor competition arena with a heated viewing lounge and an adjacent 70 x 120 indoor warm up arena. Our outside facilities include two sand rings, a Derby Field consisting of permanent European-style derby jumps, a cross-country course for beginner novice, novice, training, and preliminary levels, a bridle path surrounding the school's 100-acre campus and newly renovated paddocks.
Students may bring their own horse or lease one of the school's quality horses. The school owns an unusually diverse stock of 40 horses, available to riders at all levels. Constantly being upgraded through a donation program, the school's inventory includes quiet horses for beginners, successful competitors at the Medal/Maclay level, 4th level dressage horses and Grand Prix show jumpers.
