I have canceled classes today to celebrate the Stoneleigh-Burnham tradition of Mountain Day. The day begins with seniors waking their little sisters with the news that "Today is Mountain Day!" Then we all board buses and head to a local mountain for hiking and games. The tradition of Mountain Day has been celebrated for many years; it is a day for students to enjoy the beautiful autumn air and the New England outdoors, and to spend time with friends on a day off.
Please enjoy this year's first issue of the SBS Snapshot. The Snapshot will be published electronically every other Friday and will include news and information from around the school. You will find the upcoming events in the side column and can check out the recent slideshows in the [ http://www.sbschool.org/home/multimedia_gallery.asp ]photo gallery.
I look forward to seeing you all on campus for Fall Family Weekend, Friday and Saturday October 24th and 25th. In the meantime, please enjoy celebrating vicariously with us!
Best,
Sally L. Mixsell
