Dear Parents,
Though there is little time left before students head home, I feel the need to address the issue of snow days – just in case we get a surprise next week. Unless we experience a real blizzard, I will not call a snow day, given our large boarding population. However, day students and their parents are encouraged to make a determination based on safety, particularly if your school district or the Greenfield district has closed schools. No day student will be penalized for not attending school on such days. Instead, teachers will email work to do at home, and classes will run as scheduled on campus. That means that all assigned work will be expected to be completed. Of course, we may have teachers who are unable to get in as well, but their classes will be covered by those who are at school. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about this.
As we roll into the final week before the long winter break, I would like to thank you all for entrusting your daughters to us this year. It has been a fast fall, full of much good work, many hours of conversation and interaction with your daughters, and several nice opportunities to meet many of you as well. Every day my appreciation has grown for the individuals who make up this community; it really is a special place.
May you all enjoy the happiest of holidays!
