While the spring weather in Western Massachusetts decided not to cooperate for spring family weekend, SBS families enjoyed themselves nonetheless. Thank you to all of our wonderful families for making the weekend a success. Listen below to what Sally Mixsell had to say during her Head's Address.

If you missed the Spring Family Weekend Concert last weekend, you missed the Rock Band performing Green Day, the Chamber Ensemble playing Skylife by David Balakrishnan and the Octet singing a Lauren Hill song a capella. No need to worry! You can purchase your DVD copy of the Spring Family Weekend Concert or any other performance from this year by emailing the Communications Department at communications@sbschool.org. DVDs are $20 per copy.

The 2010 Stoneleigh-Burnham School edition of Minerva, the school's literary magazine, has arrived and is on the shelves of the SBS bookstore! This edition is full of amazing literary work, as well as many incredible pieces from students participating in visual arts classes including digital photo, drawing and painting I and advanced placement art. The magazine is $5.00, all proceeds go to the Stoneleigh-Burnham School Literary Society.

On April 11, Stoneleigh-Burnham riders took a trip to Mount Holyoke College in Hadley, MA where they took part in the Mount Holyoke Open Hunter Jumper Horse Show. Riders and horses representing SBS were all quite successful.

Thank you for supporting the Up, Up & Away Around the World Auction!

Together, we raised over $11,000 at our live event. It was great to see all the families enjoying each other's company and supporting the school. The 50/50 Raffle generated $6,140 and the aunt of Claire Callahan '12 was thrilled to be the lucky winner. Thank you to Gina Cote P'14 for her tireless efforts all year long to make this a successful event. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who participated, especially Angie Reynolds P'12, Shirley Lanphear GP'12, Linda Gledhill P'13, Lisa Moore P'14 and Janet Roy P'13 for building our catalog and lending support. Sally Mixsell had this to say about the event, "a tip of the hat to Jeremy Deason for a memorable stint as SBS auctioneer, and to Cyndee Meese for her Middle School quartet of remarkable singers performing intermittently while Jeremy prepared his next corny joke. If you missed the auction, you missed some memorable moments!"
