Your Input Requested

Dear SBS Parents:

As most of you know, the state of Massachusetts passed a law last year requiring that every school has a Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan in place by December 31, 2010. We have been working on our plan since last summer and invited our school attorney to present background information and the draft of the plan to our faculty at our In-Service day in November. We have made some edits as a result of that meeting, and now it is your turn!

Click here to review a draft of the Stoneleigh-Burnham School Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan. In the interest of transparency and collaboration, I am sending it to you for perusal and subsequent feedback you may have.  We are taking this process very seriously and want to create a policy that is strong and clear to members of the community.

I will appreciate your input by Monday, December 20. Please email me your comments, concerns and questions. We will compile all the feedback and make decisions about further edits before sending off for approval from our Board of Trustees. When the girls return from vacation, they will learn about the Plan through advisory meetings and Housemeeting discussions.

Many thanks in advance. I will be anxious to hear your thoughts. In the meantime, we have lots of excited girls waiting to be on vacation; I hope you all enjoy the holidays!

Sincerely,
Sally
