Dear New Alumnae Board Members,
Once again, thank you for volunteering to assist the School in its mission to continue to grow stronger bonds and connections with the Alumnae Association. In particular, Alumnae board members have been increasingly engaged in direct contact with Class Agents.
Located in this folder are a few materials that we will cover for the new member orientation.
We will have binders for you at the February 18th meeting (if you can make it!) so you will be able to file all of the information and members can be working from the same documents.
Attachments: Some of the attached documents are tagged as “History” – these have been included as a point of reference. Some action items no longer apply, but we thought it might be good for you to see a small sample of the AB work since 2006. This will also hopefully add insight to the newly developed Alumnae Board/Class Agent model.

Alumnae Association: Since 2006 we have been discussing participation of both the alumnae board and general alumnae association. We have also been discussing ways to increase annual giving percentages and bottom line. Need 100% participation in Annual Fund for AB members – leadership by example
Attendance: Alumnae Board meetings, 2 to 3 on-campus meetings per year (historically was 4 to 5).
Please see attached AB Constitution for reference. There has been discussion about updating
the Constitution (to include conference calls and other membership items)
Conference Calls: first Wednesday of each month and when deemed necessary by various committees
Committees: Revive and revamp Committees: Reunion, Nomination, Events, Volunteer, Fundraising and Young Alumnae
Reunion: AB members share ideas in the planning process and assist with coordination prior to Reunion and execution the weekend of Reunion (this year, June 22-24). We will have a basic schedule for Reunion by the February 18th meeting.
