September 2011 saw the beginning of the first year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at Stoneleigh-Burnham School. As such, we are the only girls' school in New England and one of only three boarding schools in New England to offer this rigorous program of study.
Founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968 to meet the educational needs of the children of the diplomatic corps, the International Baccalaureate program aims to help students develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
We are hosting two International Baccalaureate information sessions for the community, prospective students, curious parents, or just about anyone who wants to know more about the International Baccalaureate at Stoneleigh-Burnham School.
The sessions will include a brief presentation from Academic Dean and IB coordinator, Natalie Demers and a question and answer session with faculty who teach the curriculum and students who are currently engaged in the full diploma program.
Information sessions will occur:
Tuesday, January 31st from 7 to 8:30 p.m
Blue Room @ Stoneleigh-Burnham School
Monday, February 13th from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
Community Room @ Forbes Library in Northampton
