Riding Instructors
Each summer Bonnie Castle Riding Camp hires college-aged counselors to live in the dormitories with campers and teach riding, supervised by The Director of Riding and the Director of Bonnie Castle. Each counselor is selected based on interest in working with camp aged girls, riding experience and ability to instruct. Counselors undergo an intensive orientation before camp begins which includes an introduction to Camp Safety Policies, learning lesson planning and going over appropriate lesson exercises as well as spending time getting to know each of the school horses.
BCRC counselors have come from:
- Mount Holyoke College
- Connecticut College
- Cornell University
- Dartmouth College
- Johnson & Wales University
- Stonehill College
