The Paul Bassett Softball Academy, under the direction of Paul Bassett, presents an opportunity for girls ages 12-16 to improve their skills as hitters, fielders, and pitchers. Experienced coaches offer instruction to participants during three daily sessions, and the camp runs Sunday through Thursday. With a player to coach ratio of 6:1, instruction stresses fundamentals and techniques to augment players' skills.

The week-long residential summer program is limited to fifty players. The Paul Bassett Softball Academy is staffed by experienced coaches, each with a particular expertise in the sport. Each instructor has been involved with high school or collegiate championship seasons, either at the state or New England level. We bring together a group of instructors with sound fundamental skill who enjoy working with adolescents. The program includes a "windmill" pitching component available to pitchers at beginning through advanced levels, and also includes a catching component.

Program Highlights

• Athletes play a competitive schedule of night games. 
• Athletes are exposed to quality high school and collegiate coaches.
• Hitting, bunting, fielding, and baserunning skills are addressed as well as the psychological aspects of the game.
• Pitchers may enroll in the "windwill" pitching or catching program at no extra cost.
• Two complete softball diamonds are available at all times.
• Weight room, swimming pool, and tennis courts are available.
• Program tee shirts are provided.
