Varsity Basketball Wins RVAL Championship    
For a second year in a row, the Varsity Basketball team has earned the River Valley Athletic League Championship with their 52-28 win over Putney School on Thursday, February 14th.
Fifteen SBS Riders Qualify for IEA Zone 1 Region 7 Finals    
Ten upper school students and five middle school students from the Stoneleigh-Burnham Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) teams have qualified to compete in the Zone 1, Region 7 Finals to be held at Stoneleigh-Burnham on March 2nd.

Upper School Students Exhibit Artwork at Artspace    
Several upper school art students have work included in an exhibition, Annual Teen Art Exhibit, at Artspace in Greenfield. The show will run until February 15, 2013, with a public reception on Friday, February 8th from 5:50 until 7:30 p.m.

Junior Caroline L. Earns 1st Place at American Legion Oratorical Event    
Caroline, a day student from Amherst, memorized five speeches about the Constitution for the competition. Caroline has been a member of the Stoneleigh-Burnham Debate and Public Speaking Society for two years and is currently co-president of the Society.

Geissler Gallery Presents Exhibit by Local Artists Robert Markey & Julie Orfirer    
Stoneleigh-Burnham School will present the collaborative exhibition “Safe?” an installation of paintings by Robert Markey and photographs by Julie Orfirer, on display January 18 to February 20, 2013. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Friday, January 18th at 6 p.m. in Geissler Gallery.
Gold Cooler Jumper Series Show at SBS on Jan. 12th    
Stoneleigh-Burnham will host two shows in the 2013 Gold Cooler Jumping Series on January 12th and again on Feburary 23rd. The six venue indoor show jumping series is now in its second year and will culminate with a Grand Final at Mount Holyoke on March 17th.
8th Graders Pay Tribute to Pakistani Student Malala Yousafzi    
The 8th Grade Humanities Class wrote and presented during Housemeeting a tribute to the Pakistani teenager, Malala Yousafzi, who is recovering from an attempted assassination by the Taliban.
SBS to Retire Former Basketball Standout Ramses Lonlack's Number    
On Friday, December 14th at 4 p.m. Stoneleigh-Burnham School will retire the #32 basketball jersey in honor of Ramses Lonlack (Bertoua, Cameroon) ’08, the all-time leading scorer and the only 1,000-point scorer in school history.

Riders Francesca E. '15 and Saskia A. '13 Win Big at Woodedge, New Jersey Show    
On Saturday, October 13, Francesca E. '15 and Saskia A. '13 competed in the Woodedge Stables "A" Jumper Show in Moorestown, New Jersey. Both riders had outstanding showings resulting in an Overall Champion Ribbon for Franny and an Overall Reserve Champion Ribbon for Saskia.
Geissler Gallery presents "Interior" by Artist Hannah Richards    
In the first opening of the year, artist Hannah Richards is showing her exhibit "Interior" from October 4 through October 31. Ms. Richards will give an 'Artist's Talk' on Thursday, October 11th at 7 p.m. followed by an opening reception. The event is open and free to the public.
