On Sunday, March 26, four seventh graders (Elizabeth Musselman, Amalia Rubinstein, Julia Shulman, Victoria Malcolm) traveled to Chelmsford, MA to compete in a regional Destination Imagination tournament.

Destination Imagination is a non-profit that encourages groups of students to work together to learn about the creative process. They choose a topic of interest based on science, technology, engineering, fine arts, and improvisation, and then work together to develop a skit that fits all the criteria.

The SBS girls did an amazing job at their performance and on their instant challenge (an unknown group challenge they had to complete), and scored enough points to win the top prize for the Middle Level Fine Arts competition in our region. This means that they have moved on to the next level of competition, and are competing in the state tournament on Saturday, April 1 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. – Andrea Tehan Carnes, Middle School Math and Science teacher
